The Nordic Experience at ICEAVIK is designed to be immersive, restorative, and unhurried. Rooted in Nordic wellness traditions, it invites guests to move through a sequence of heat, cold, and rest at their own pace, designed to restore the body, calm the mind, and reset the nervous system.
Guests will enjoy a collection of outdoor hot pools, cold plunges, and saunas, paired with quiet relaxation areas and sheltered spaces that make the experience comfortable year-round. Whether surrounded by falling snow, ocean air, or summer skies, the thermal circuit allows you to experience the outdoors while staying warm and at ease.
The thermal experience is meant to be enjoyed without rush or expectation. Guests are encouraged to move intuitively, take breaks as needed, and leave feeling restored, grounded, and refreshed.
When to arrive?
To ensure a smooth and comfortable flow throughout the spa, guests are asked to arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. Once checked in, guests are welcome to enjoy the thermal experience until closing time. Entry prior to the scheduled arrival time is not permitted.
What change room options are available?
ICEAVIK offers thoughtfully designed change rooms to ensure comfort and inclusivity for all guests, including male, female, and gender-neutral change rooms. Each space includes private lockers, showers, and amenities to support a seamless and relaxed visit.
At its core, the experience follows three simple steps which we call a “Circuit”:

Step 1
Heat
Guests warm the body in saunas, steam rooms, or hot pools. Heat relaxes muscles, increases circulation, opens pores, and encourages deep breathing.

Step 3
Rest
Between cycles, guests rest in quiet indoor or outdoor relaxation areas. This is where the body fully absorbs the benefits — heart rate slows, muscles release, and the mind settles.
This cycle can be repeated several times at a comfortable, self guided, personal pace.
